The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a * Flood Warning for... Southeastern Hidalgo County in Deep South Texas... Northwestern Cameron County in Deep South Texas... Western Willacy County in Deep South Texas... * Until 815 AM CDT Thursday. * At 804 PM CDT, emergency management and the media reported continued high water in many neighborhoods across the eastern third of the Rio Grande Valley in the warned area. Slow improvement is underway in some areas, but others remain inundated with at least 1 to 2 feet of water depth. Flooded roads were most common in the cities of Raymondville, Sebastian, La Feria, and Monte Alto. Portions of State Road 186 remain flooded this evening, and more than a dozen Farm to Market roads are flooded or closed in these areas...and are likely to remain so through the night. * Some locations that will continue to experience flooding include... Harlingen, east Weslaco, Mercedes, Raymondville, La Feria, Elsa, Edcouch, Monte Alto, Santa Rosa, Lyford and La Villa.
