Celebrate National Library Week (April 23-29, 2023) with the theme "There's More to the Story."
Happy National Library Week to all our La Joya ISD Librarians!!
Libraries are full of stories in a variety of formats from picture books to large print, audiobooks to ebooks, and more. But there's so much more to the story. Libraries of Things lend items like museum passes, games, musical instruments, and tools. Library programming brings communities together for entertainment, education, and connection through book clubs, story times, movie nights, crafting classes, and lectures. Library infrastructure advances communities, providing internet and technology access, literacy skills, and support for businesses, job seekers, and entrepreneurs. National Library Week 2023 will be a great time to tell your library’s multi-faceted story.
Happy Administrative Professionals' Day!
Please help us recognize our incredible team of secretaries, administrative assistants and office professionals for all that they do to support our students, staff and schools day in and day out. Thank you for all you do to keep our school operations and front offices running smoothly! You are the glue that holds us together!!
We appreciate you today and every day.

Exciting Saturday morning at La Joya ISD!! Our new Interim Superintendent of Schools Mr. Beto Gonzalez along with our Board of Trustees President Alejandro “Alex” Cantu and Board Member Esmeralda Solis got to visit the lovely community of Sam Fordyce Elementary in Sullivan City, where their Cycle 10 ACE program conducted a fantastic Girls Empowerment Conference.
Mr. Gonzalez surprised our Girls Empowerment Conference attendees with a visit and some words of affirmation, and he was easily able to urge them to believe in themselves, value their strengths, and captivate their self-worth.
These subtle details make a tremendous difference to our students. Congratulation to Sam Fordyce Elementary and the Cycle 10 Ace Program for hosting such a motivational event! Together, we are transforming lives and setting La Joya ISD students up for success.
Don’t forget to join us tomorrow for the 17th Annual La Joya ISD Superintendent’s Scholarship Golf Classic! Take a listen for a brief message from our Interim Superintendent of Schools Beto Gonzalez.
